Safe & Sound Protocol
Jenna Anderson
A.S., LMT, TRE, SSP

Jenna is a Certified Provider for the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP)

A non-invasive listening therapy for your unique journey to better nervous system regulation.

The Safe and Sound Protocol is an evidence-based therapeutic tool designed to reset the nervous system and return it to safety. Developed by Dr. Stephen Porges, founder of the Polyvagal Theory, the SSP features specially filtered music with a design that stimulates the vagus nerve, fostering increased flexibilitybalance, and harmony within the nervous system.

Suitable for children and adults, the SSP has demonstrated benefits for individuals with traumaanxietysensory processing differences, and much more. It helps you connect with yourself, others, and the world from a foundation of physiological safety.

The SSP playlists are delivered through over-the-ear headphones in-clinic or over Zoom and may be continued remotely, on your own when indicated, for client ease and efficiency.

Exploring Wellness: Safe and Sound Protocol Group Sessions

I’m thrilled to introduce our Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) 1-hour, weekly group listening sessions, crafted for transformative healing support in the comfort of your own space.

Our sessions will include up to 30 minutes of supervised listening from the core 5-hour program. To enhance the benefits of SSP, I incorporate somatic, centering, and grounding experiences before and after each listening session. These practices complement your well-being journey, enhanced by a supportive community that amplifies results through shared experience.

Unlock the potential for a brighter, more balanced you, and harmonize your way to a better tomorrow with SSP.

SSP Testimonials

“The Safe and Sound Protocol changed my life. I had spent 15 years trying different therapies and modalities to help my anxiety, OCD, PTSD, and cPTSD. Nothing helped because my vagus nerve wasn’t online. I learned by completing the SSP that I had been stuck in “fight or flight” mode from a very early age, and it was my biology that was preventing me from having success with other modalities.

The changes I noticed with SSP seemed minimal, but they added up. I slowly noticed background noises that would cause severe agitation (ticking clocks, or humming electronics) started to bother me less and less. This was a clear indication that my vagus nerve was coming “online” because when it is “offline” and in “fight or flight” we are hyperfocused on our environment to scan for signs of danger.

I highly recommend completing the Safe and Sound Protocol with Jenna. She is extremely trauma-informed and facilitates in a very gentle manner. She is also highly trained in other modalities and tools that have helped me continue to manage stress and lingering symptoms.”

“I have known Jenna for a number of years and have now started doing SSP with her. She cares very deeply about people and it comes across in the way she interacts with them. She has been generous in helping me get started and very focused on the care of each of us in the group.

I have seen how much time and energy she has put in to gain some of the knowledge and skill she has. I trust her expertise and her intention in what she does. If you are looking for someone to be knowledgeable and also have a good, caring, generous heart, don’t hesitate to reach out to her.

Because of the type of work Jenna does, I think it can be useful for people to know that she is one of the kindest people I’ve met in my life. She cares about the health and wellness of humans so much, and it rubs off on you. I have learned so much in the years I’ve known her, and I am grateful to get to learn more with the SSP group.”
